Ingredients
  

Fish
  • 1 lb white fish fillets (such as tilapia or cod)
  • 2 tbsp blackening seasoning Store-bought or homemade
  • 2 tbsp olive oil for cooking
Taco Assembly
  • 8 small corn tortillas
  • 1 cup cabbage slaw shredded
  • 1/2 cup crema or sour cream for drizzling
  • 1 lime juiced for serving
  • 1/4 cup fresh cilantro chopped, for garnish

Method
 

Prepare the Fish
  1. Pat the fish fillets dry with paper towels. Sprinkle the blackening seasoning evenly over both sides of the fillets.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering.
  3. Add the seasoned fish fillets to the skillet and cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until the fish is cooked through and has a blackened crust.
  4. Remove the fish from the skillet and let it rest for a few minutes before flaking into bite-sized pieces.
Assemble the Tacos
  1. Warm the corn tortillas in a dry skillet or microwave until pliable.
  2. Place a portion of the blackened fish on each tortilla.
  3. Top with cabbage slaw, a drizzle of crema or sour cream, and a squeeze of lime juice.
  4. Garnish with chopped cilantro and serve immediately.
