- In a bowl, combine warm milk and sugar. Sprinkle yeast over the top and let it sit for about 5 minutes until frothy.
- In a separate mixing bowl, whisk together flour and salt. Create a well in the center and add the yeast mixture along with melted butter.
- Mix until forming a shaggy dough, then knead on a floured surface for about 10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it, and let rise in a warm spot until doubled in size (about 1 hour).
- Punch down the dough, shape it into a loaf by flattening and rolling tightly.
- Place the shaped loaf in a greased pan, cover it, and allow to rise again until nearly doubled (about another hour).
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake for 30-35 minutes until golden brown.
