Method
Prepare the Ribs
- Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs for better flavor absorption.
- In a bowl, mix all the dry rub ingredients together.
- Generously apply the dry rub to both sides of the ribs, ensuring they are well coated.
Smoke the Ribs
- Preheat the electric smoker to 225°F (107°C).
- Place the ribs in the smoker and smoke for about 3 hours.
- After 3 hours, brush the ribs with barbecue sauce and continue to smoke for an additional hour.
- Check the internal temperature; it should reach at least 190°F (88°C) for tender ribs.
Serve
- Remove the ribs from the smoker and let them rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
- Serve with additional barbecue sauce on the side.
