Ingredients
  

Ribs
  • 2 lbs pork ribs baby back or spare ribs
Dry Rub
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp paprika
  • 1 tbsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp onion powder
  • 1 tbsp salt
  • 1 tbsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp cayenne pepper optional for heat
Sauce
  • 1 cup barbecue sauce your favorite brand

Method
 

Prepare the Ribs
  1. Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs for better flavor absorption.
  2. In a bowl, mix all the dry rub ingredients together.
  3. Generously apply the dry rub to both sides of the ribs, ensuring they are well coated.
Smoke the Ribs
  1. Preheat the electric smoker to 225°F (107°C).
  2. Place the ribs in the smoker and smoke for about 3 hours.
  3. After 3 hours, brush the ribs with barbecue sauce and continue to smoke for an additional hour.
  4. Check the internal temperature; it should reach at least 190°F (88°C) for tender ribs.
Serve
  1. Remove the ribs from the smoker and let them rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
  2. Serve with additional barbecue sauce on the side.

Notes
