Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8x8 inch baking pan with parchment paper.
In a large bowl, whisk together the sweet potato puree, almond butter, maple syrup, eggs, and vanilla extract until completely smooth.
Sift in the cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt. Fold gently with a spatula until just combined (do not overmix).
Gently fold in the dark chocolate chips.
Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top. Bake for 28-30 minutes. The center should be slightly gooey. Sprinkle with flaky sea salt as soon as it comes out.
Let the brownies cool completely in the pan before slicing to ensure they hold together.
