Ingredients
  

Steak
  • 2 pounds flat iron steak trimmed and patted dry
Marinade
  • 1/4 cup olive oil extra virgin
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 tablespoons fresh rosemary chopped
  • 2 tablespoons fresh thyme chopped
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper freshly ground
  • 1 teaspoon salt

Method
 

Prepare the Marinade
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine olive oil, minced garlic, chopped rosemary, chopped thyme, soy sauce, black pepper, and salt. Mix well.
Marinate the Steak
  1. Place the flat iron steak in a resealable plastic bag or shallow dish and pour the marinade over it. Seal the bag or cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, preferably overnight.
Grill the Steak
  1. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. Remove the steak from the marinade and discard the marinade.
  2. Grill the steak for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until it reaches an internal temperature of 130°F (54°C).
Rest and Serve
  1. Remove the steak from the grill and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing against the grain. Serve immediately.

Notes
