Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb ground turkey
  • 1 cup jasmine or basmati rice
  • 2 tsp fresh ginger, grated
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • ¼ cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • sliced green onions for garnish
  • sesame seeds for garnish

Method
 

  1. Cook the jasmine rice according to package instructions.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, add vegetable oil. Sauté minced garlic and grated ginger until fragrant (about 1 minute).
  3. Add ground turkey; cook until browned (5-7 minutes), breaking it apart as it cooks.
  4. In a bowl, whisk together soy sauce, brown sugar, and sesame oil. Pour over the turkey in the skillet.
  5. Simmer for an additional 5 minutes until the sauce thickens.
  6. Serve over cooked rice and garnish with green onions or sesame seeds.
