Ingredients
  

For the Corn Dogs
  • 4 hot dogs or cheese sticks
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup sweet rice flour also known as glutinous rice flour
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup water adjust as needed for batter consistency
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs for coating
  • oil for frying enough for deep frying
For Serving
  • 1 tbsp ketchup
  • 1 tbsp mustard
  • 1 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp sweet chili sauce

Method
 

Prepare the Batter
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine all-purpose flour, sweet rice flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  2. Gradually add water to the dry ingredients, whisking until smooth and thick.
Prepare the Hot Dogs
  1. Insert skewers into each hot dog, leaving enough space for handling.
  2. Dip each hot dog into the batter, ensuring it is fully coated.
  3. Roll the battered hot dog in panko breadcrumbs for extra crunch.
Fry the Corn Dogs
  1. Heat oil in a deep fryer to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Carefully place the corn dogs in the hot oil, frying until golden brown, about 5-7 minutes.
  3. Remove from oil and drain on paper towels.
Serve
  1. Serve hot with your choice of sauces.

Notes
