  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup fresh blueberries
  • 1 zest of 1 lemon
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 cup lukewarm water

Method
 

  1. Prepare your sourdough starter the night before to ensure it’s active.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the starter, lukewarm water, sugar, and lemon zest; mix well.
  3. Gradually add flour and salt until a shaggy dough forms.
  4. Transfer to a floured surface and gently knead in blueberries without crushing them.
  5. Place in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise for about 4 hours or until doubled.
  6. Shape into a loaf, let rise for another hour.
  7. Preheat oven to 450°F (232°C). Bake for 30-35 minutes until golden brown.
