Ingredients
  

Base Ingredients
  • 1 cup fresh lemon juice about 4-6 lemons
  • 1 cup granulated sugar adjust to taste
  • 1 cup water for simple syrup

  • 1 tablespoon lemon zest for extra flavor

Method
 

Prepare the Simple Syrup
  1. In a small saucepan, combine water and sugar over medium heat. Stir until the sugar is completely dissolved. Remove from heat and let cool.
Combine Ingredients
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the cooled simple syrup with fresh lemon juice and lemon zest. Mix well.
Chill the Mixture
  1. Refrigerate the mixture for at least 2 hours until it is thoroughly chilled.
Churn the Sorbet
  1. Pour the chilled mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer's instructions until it reaches a soft-serve consistency.
Freeze the Sorbet
  1. Transfer the sorbet to an airtight container and freeze for at least 2 hours to firm up before serving.

Notes
