Ingredients
  

Pasta
  • 12 oz spaghetti or any pasta of choice
Meat Sauce
  • 1 lb ground beef lean
  • 1 medium onion chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 can crushed tomatoes 28 oz
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp dried basil
  • 1 tsp salt to taste
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper to taste
  • 1 cup beef broth or water
Garnish
  • 1/2 cup parmesan cheese grated
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley chopped

Method
 

Cook Pasta
  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add spaghetti and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
Prepare Meat Sauce
  1. In a skillet over medium heat, add ground beef and cook until browned. Drain excess fat.
  2. Add chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet, cooking until the onion is translucent.
  3. Stir in crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, oregano, basil, salt, black pepper, and beef broth. Simmer for 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Combine and Serve
  1. Add the cooked spaghetti to the meat sauce and toss to combine. Serve hot, garnished with parmesan cheese and parsley.
