Ingredients
  

Filling
  • 4 cups fresh peaches, sliced or canned peaches, drained
  • 1 cup granulated sugar adjust based on sweetness of peaches
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour for thickening
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon optional
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice to enhance flavor
Crust
  • 1 package pre-made pie crust or homemade pie crust
  • 1 tablespoon butter for dotting on top

Method
 

Prepare the Filling
  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine sliced peaches, sugar, flour, cinnamon, and lemon juice. Toss to coat evenly.
  3. Pour the peach mixture into a greased 9-inch pie dish.
Assemble the Cobbler
  1. Roll out the pie crust and place it over the peach filling, crimping the edges to seal.
  2. Dot the top of the crust with small pieces of butter.
Bake
  1. Bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes or until the crust is golden brown and the filling is bubbly.
  2. Remove from the oven and let cool for at least 10 minutes before serving.
