  • 1 can Pineapple rings
  • 10 pieces Maraschino cherries
  • 1/2 cup Brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup Unsalted butter
  • 1 1/2 cups All-purpose flour
  • 1 cup Granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons Baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon Salt
  • 2 large Eggs
  • 1/2 cup Milk
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract

Method
 

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Melt the unsalted butter and pour it into the cake pan.
  3. Sprinkle the brown sugar evenly over the melted butter.
  4. Arrange pineapple rings and maraschino cherries on top of the brown sugar mixture.
  5. In a mixing bowl, combine all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  6. In another bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, and vanilla extract.
  7. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until smooth.
  8. Pour the batter over the arranged pineapples and cherries in the pan.
  9. Bake for 40 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  10. Let cool for a few minutes before inverting onto a serving plate.
