Ingredients
  

Tuna Steaks
  • 4 pieces tuna steaks about 6 oz each
Seasoning
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce for marinating
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil for marinating
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper freshly ground
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt to taste
Garnish
  • 2 tablespoons sesame seeds toasted
  • 1 cup arugula for serving
  • 1 lemon lemon wedges for serving

Method
 

Prepare the Tuna
  1. In a bowl, mix soy sauce and sesame oil. Marinate the tuna steaks in this mixture for about 10 minutes.
Sear the Tuna
  1. Heat a skillet over high heat. Remove the tuna from the marinade and season with black pepper and sea salt.
  2. Add the tuna steaks to the hot skillet and sear for about 1-2 minutes on each side for rare, or longer if desired.
Serve
  1. Remove the tuna from the skillet and let it rest for a minute. Slice the tuna against the grain.
  2. Serve on a bed of arugula, sprinkle with toasted sesame seeds, and add lemon wedges on the side.
