Ingredients
  

Protein
  • 1 pound chicken breast sliced thinly
  • 1 pound tofu cubed
Vegetables
  • 1 cup bell pepper sliced
  • 1 cup carrot julienned
  • 1 cup snap peas
Sauce
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce or vegetarian alternative
  • 1 tablespoon fish sauce or soy sauce for vegetarian
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
Herbs
  • 1 cup Thai basil fresh
Aromatics
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 tablespoons ginger minced
Oil
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil

Method
 

Prepare Ingredients
  1. Slice the chicken breast or cube the tofu. Prepare all vegetables by slicing and chopping as needed.
Cook Protein
  1. Heat the vegetable oil in a wok over medium-high heat. Add the chicken or tofu and stir-fry until cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.
Add Vegetables
  1. Add the garlic, ginger, bell pepper, carrot, and snap peas to the wok. Stir-fry for another 3-5 minutes until vegetables are tender-crisp.
Add Sauce
  1. In a small bowl, mix the soy sauce, oyster sauce, fish sauce, and sugar. Pour the sauce over the stir-fry and mix well.
Finish with Basil
  1. Remove the wok from heat and stir in the Thai basil until just wilted. Serve immediately over rice or noodles.
